Attain was founded by four experienced executives from the Application Integration and Networking/Systems Integration industries. Through their combined experience Attain’s executives were able to create a technological consulting model that can provide solutions anywhere in the technology cycle (networks, systems or applications) and is the foundation for how Attain does business. This model has evolved further to integrate multiple industry leading partners including Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard (click here to learn more about our partners). By utilizing the expertise of ourselves and our partners, we are able to create stronger solutions than that of the competition.
Dennis Coates
Principal
Dennis Coates is one of the four principals for Attain Technologies, LLC. Coates primary responsibilities are business development and managing Attain’s partner relationships.
Coates, along with the other principals, founded Attain Technologies in 1999, with the vision of providing clients end-to-end technology solutions with a personal touch. Prior to forming Attain, Coates was area director of sales for Convergent Communications, where he led a team of 25 sales and engineering staff and grew sales revenue 230% in the first year. Previously, he was western regional business development director for CompuCom Systems, where he managed and implemented worldwide, large-scale Internet, WAN and telecom strategies. Coates has worked in the technology field for 20+ years and has diverse experience with clients in multiple industries including: finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, oil production, consumer goods and the public sector.
Coates attended Wichita State University for business management and marketing. He is certified as both a Microsoft and Cisco Sales Professional. Outside of work, Coates is a licensed private pilot, avid golfer and fly fisherman.
Jose R. Albino
Principal / Chief Operating Officer
Jose R. Albino is one of the four principals and chief operating officer of Attain Technologies. Jose is responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of client solutions and ensuring implementation of best-in-class processes across the organization.
Prior to forming Attain Technologies in 1999, Albino was a general manager for Convergent Communications, where he led a 70-person organization comprised of sales, engineering, project managers and support personnel. Before Convergent, Albino was a program manager for CompuCom Systems, where he was responsible for enhancing operations and augmenting delivery capabilities. With almost 30 years in the technology field and a 21-year military career, Albino brings a wealth of experience in operations and an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of the public sector industry.
Albino holds bachelors’ degrees in both biology and chemistry from Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii and a master’s degree in business administration from University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas. Albino is also certified as a Total Quality Management Instructor. He is actively involved in the community and enjoys volunteering his time to Boy Scouts of America.
James D. Freeman
Principal / Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing
James D. Freeman is one of the four principals and Executive VP of Sales and Marketing for Attain Technologies. Jim’s primary responsibilities are sales and marketing strategy.
Before forming Attain Technologies in 1999, Freeman was executive vice president for Latis, Inc., where he was responsible for developing and executing the sales and customer acquisition strategy for a start-up Internet infrastructure services provider. Previous to his role at Latis, Freeman was vice president of product marketing at Convergent Communications. At Convergent, Freeman was responsible for $200 million in systems integration product and service revenues and margins. Before Convergent, Freeman was director of professional services for the Western United States for CompuCom Systems. In this role, he led a 300-person consulting and systems engineering organization. Prior to entering the business field, Freeman served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army. In his 20+ years in the technology industry, Freeman has been responsible for the start up phase of twelve departments, branches, divisions and companies.
Freeman studied international finance while at the University of North Texas as an MBA candidate. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Westminster College. Freeman is a member of the Denver Business Forum and participates in local government. He has also been head coach for a championship youth football team for the past 11 years.
Mark “Stosh” Ritchie
Principal / Senior Technology Consultant
Mark “Stosh” Ritchie is one of the four principals and a senior technology consultant for Attain Technologies.
Ritchie’s primary responsibility is collaborating with clients from the design, planning and testing phases of a project through deployment and support. Stosh specializes in engagements that involve the lifecycle of systems including: network infrastructure for security, LAN/WAN and storage, operating systems and applications.
Prior to joining Attain in 2001, Ritchie worked for Cisco Systems on the network service provider team as a systems engineer. Previous to Cisco, he worked at Convergent Communications as lead systems engineer. Additionally, Ritchie helped form the Denver branch of CompuCom Systems as a senior systems engineer. In this leadership role, Ritchie had responsibility for a team of 50 engineers. Ritchie’s 20+ years in the technology field have given him a broad range of experience with clients in all industries and of all sizes. Specifically, Ritchie has an in-depth understanding of the needs of banking, telecommunications, e-business and public sector organizations.
Ritchie has his Associate Degree in Applied Science, Electronic Technology from the Denver Institute of Technology, where he graduated with honors. Ritchie has multiple technical certifications including: Microsoft MCSE, HP Storage Expert, Enterasys SE and Citrix. Ritchie is also a certified PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and teaches in the Denver area.
Kim Bradney
Manager Human Resources/ Marketing Manager
Kim Bradney joined Attain Technologies in January 2006, bringing with her 11+ years experience in recruiting and human resources in the accounting, finance, and technology fields.
Prior to her position at Attain Technologies, Bradney was a project manager for First Data Corporation where she was responsible for the new leader onboarding process, employer branding as well as the facilitator of new employee orientation. Before First Data, Bradney relocated to London where she worked as a director of membership for a non-profit organization where she acted as a project manager for the creation and management of the career development program as well as coached five separate groups in finding employment in the UK which resulted in a 50% placement ratio. Prior to her role as a director for a non-profit organization, Bradney was a senior technical recruiter for Convergent Communications, where she hired 75 sales executives in 4 months, 59 through direct sourcing. Bradney has worked in the human resources and recruiting field for over 11 years and brings a wealth of knowledge in building strong relationships with employees and our partners by continuing to hire talented individuals using her specialized recruiting skills.
Bradney has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. Bradney is a member of the Colorado Technical Recruiters Association and enjoys traveling, skiing and spending time with her husband and two children.
Gina Miller
Controller
Gina Miller joined Attain Technologies in June 2006, bringing with her 21 years of finance and accounting experience ranging from retail and mortgage finance, to Internet over satellite and IT.
In her role as Controller, Miller is responsible for the company financial planning and budget management functions as well as monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget. Miller oversees daily operations of the finance department including cash management and payroll.
Prior to her position at Attain Technologies, Miller was an Accounting Manager for WildBlue Communications, Inc. where she was responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statements for board presentation, maintained budgets, acted as principal contact with external auditors to complete annual audits, and payroll. Before WildBlue Communications, Miller was an Assistant Controller at LanTech, Inc. where she managed the cash flow for eight branch locations and managed department staff in all accounting functions. Miller brings a wealth of experience in the IT and telecommunications industries and has helped streamline the closing and reporting processes at Attain. Her attention to detail and extensive experience has resulted in improved accounting policies and procedures.
Miller has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Metropolitan State College. She is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Sigma Beta Delta. Born in Zeist, The Netherlands, in a military family Miller moved every few years settling in Colorado in 1987. Miller is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. She spends her free time traveling, gardening, hiking, and exploring the beautiful towns of Colorado.
